Claridge's Wedding Photographer London
Claridge's Wedding Photography London
There are many iconic venues in London, and recently I had an opportunity to document a wedding at Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair. This was my very first time visiting the highly regarded London hotel and its venue, and providing Claridge's wedding photography as a second photographer for EJacobs Photography. My day started with meeting and greeting the main photographer Elliot at the Claridge’s foyer, and being introduced me to the groom and his family. Since the main photographer was covering the bridal preparations, my task was to follow the groom and his ushers.
First, we took a taxi and went to Ted’s Grooming Room London where the groom, his dad and the ushers experienced traditional Turkish barbering. This included a cut-throat shave and beard design, rounded off with ear flaming. Gentlemen also received a hot-towel treatment and arm massage.
After the grooming experience the groom’s team and I headed back to the Claridge’s Hotel London, passing through the iconic route of Mayfair. As a wedding photographer London I managed to capture the candid shots of the gentlemen getting ready and finalising their looks, as well as the detail shot of the groom’s outfit, Rolex watch, Lanvin cufflinks and Russel & Bromley shoes.
Once everybody was ready, everyone walked towards the St George’s Hanover Square Church London, where the wedding ceremony would take place. On the way, however, we called over Mason’s Arms Pub, where the gents and the wedding guests celebrated the day with a pint of beer.
As the time went by, we headed to St George’s Hanover Square Church London, decorated with floral blossoming decorative trees and flower arrangements. The groom was greeting his guests and waited for his bride to arrive.
Eventually, the bride arrived and was walked to the altar by her brother. The ceremony began and proceeded with the vowel and ring exchange, singing of the hymns, accompanied by the church’s choir and pipe organ, and signing of the certificate.
After the church wedding ceremony, I headed back to the Claridge’s Hotel, London where I took the interior and detail photos of the reception. The English Heritage-listed Ballroom was decorated with candles and delicate, romantic flowers by McQueens. The freestanding blossom trees created the summer feel to the hall.
After the guests arrival and a few cocktails, all the guests headed to the tables, where they greeted the newly-wed couple. The fun-filled wedding proceeded with the speeches, dances and loving exchange of smiles and laughter. The live band … provided an unforgettable and nostalgic atmosphere, keeping the guests on their feet all the way.
At the end, we finally managed to get the couple outdoors to get a small photoshoot done. These were the last few photos taken by me, the wedding photographer London.
