I am an Asian wedding photographer who has been profoundly interested in exploring and documenting the faith, culture, and diversity of families together under the premise of memory. For my current project, I am looking for families who are in the process of any kind of family event (e.g. wedding-related, birthday, Holi, blessing, Godh Bharai, homecoming, etc.) preparation that is due to take place in April or May 2021.
This project aims to document the changing faces of Britain and champion the generations of families from Asian communities to tell their stories in Britain’s history. Through the means of wedding photography, the project will serve as a context in the pursuit of representing and highlighting contemporary cultural practices between these groups and their home in the UK. The result is a series of powerful images which address and further explore the mass integration of Asian diaspora in Britain highlighting the preservation of cultures, traditions, and social archetypes.
In exchange for the time and participation, the family will receive a free full wedding photography collection fully edited, in line with the portfolio and image quality seen on the website.
