The London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) has become Europe’s largest Indian film festival. As a commercial photographer London, I was humbled to be part of the event, as in 2017 the festival was more significant due to the UK-India Year of Culture, as well as the anniversary of India’s 70 year independence.

The commercial photography coverage of the prestigious film festival started in London on 22nd June 2017, which began with the red-carpet premier of Kavi Raz’s The Black Prince. Alongside such film stars as Satinder Sartaaj, Shabana Azmi, Jason Flemyng and Amanda Root.

The red carpet BFI Southbank event in London was attended by a number of well-known names in the film and entertainment industry - Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker, Gurinder Chadha, Meera Syal, Bhasker Patel, and cricketer Harbhajan Singh. These were carefully documented by the London film festival’s commercial photographer London.

Other films that were premiered during the London Indian Film Festival were Badman, starring Gulshan Grover, Chunky Pandey, Rishi Kapoor, and Manisha Koirala.

The festival also welcomed an acclaimed filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker who spoke about his film career to date at BFI Southbank.
