We often get asked whether the images clients received have been edited.  The answer is “yes”.  All the images undergo an editing process in the Lightroom or Photoshop editing software to achieve the most pleasing and aesthetic image viewing experience. 

Our photography style can be described as natural. Natalia Smith Photography believe in representing the true events, colours and emotions of the day through the media of photography. Therefore, additional image alternations and enhancements may not always  represent our vision. 

To demonstrate, here are a few examples of simple editing processes: 

Example 1

The photo above depicts a couple during their photo shoot after their Hindu ceremony. The image taken usually gets slightly underexposed, as it is easier to bring out the colours, highlights and shadows. The edited photograph has been cropped and colour corrected in order to represent the botanical setting setting of the venue, as well as deliver the bright and lightweight feel to the photograph and event in general.
