Pre-Wedding Engagement Photoshoot | Battersea Park, London
One of the reasons I like my job is I get to explore the British sights in detail. Earlier this month I took this lovely couple to Battersea park, London, as one of their suggested photoshoot locations. ⠀
During our photoshoot in Battersea Park, the couple and I were surprised by unique construction called Peace Pagoda - a Buddhist Stupa which originated in Japan during the Cold War and nuclear attacks in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They have been built under the guidance of a Buddhist monk from Japan. He devoted his life to promote peace, and social and moral justice around the world, affected by the nuclear attacks in Japan that took the lives of over 150 000 people.
Built in the 1984, as part of the Greater London Council Peace Year, the monument remains a symbol of peace to inspire the people of all races and backgrounds. There are only seven Peace Pagodas in Europe, three of which are located in the UK.
